| Mother of ‘Pastillas Girl’ shot dead in Caloocan |
Manila, Philippines, A "Barangay Kagawad" or sub-town councillor was gunned down and killed, Sunday evening in Caloocan City. The victim is Maria Theresa Hernandez, mother of Angelica Jane Yap known to the public as "Pastillas Girl" in It's Showtime TV show.
Mrs. Hernandez is in the corner of Tagaytay street and Cabatuan street in Barangay 131 in Caloocan, she was shot at close range by a gunman wearing a cap, jacket and shorts.
The terrible crime was caught on CCTV camera, the suspect arrived at the place where Mrs. Hernandez is and was waiting for her other companions, five minutes after, the suspect shot Mrs. Hernandez on the right side of her head.
The suspect quickly fled toward A. Bonifacio St. in Caloocan aboard a motorcycle.
While the victim was taken to the Chinese General Hospital, but the medical staff was unable to save her. Police investigator recovered 9mm shells from the crime scene.
Victim's daughter Angelica Jane Yap is hoping that someone will help them and justice to be served.
