Pulappata, District of Kerala, India, A giant elephant named Devidasan went rogue, demolishing parked motorcycle, auto rickshaw and small truck lifting it high from the ground.

The decorated Devidasan the elephant is participating in a temple festival, when he broke free from his leash and went on a rampage, two mahouts (elephant riders) tried to calm him down, but was unsuccessful.

No one were injured in the incident, but it took several hours to pacify the elephant.

It was learned that Kerala's temple elephant are kept in poor living conditions, often in chains and starved.  Similar incident happened last January, when an elephant gone into a destructive spree in Kerala.
