Something strange occurs when you put a Styrofoam cup into acetone

Styrofoam or polystyrene + form, it is also 98% air, making it lightweight and buoyant, it is visibly used as coffee cups and food takeout packaging.

Now this material had a counterpart that can dissolve or break down the closed-cell of an interlocking chain of styrene, the chemical is acetone commonly used in removing nail polish also it can do an impressive damage to a Styrofoam cup.

This video from YouTube channel LET'S MELT THIS, shows how this organic solvent can quickly melt Styrofoam into a "melting glob of awesomeness" as they called it.
